Nutrients and Dragonfruit

This week, as part of OTES competing in the Winter Kids Challenge, we are focusing on nutrition.  Today we talked about the six different types of nutrients (carbohydrates, fats, proteins, minerals, vitamins, and water).  We talked about the job of each nutrient and some foods that contain each.  After this we cut open and tried out dragon fruit.  I was very impressed that each student at least tried it, and most of them really liked it.
