May Learners Are Leaders Winners

We celebrated our May Learners Are Leaders yesterday.  There were two categories in May.  Mrs. Robichaud chose two for physical education, and I chose three for the kindness award.

The PE winners were Blake and Emma.

The Kindness winners were Mallory, Emma, and Brooks.

Our Learners are Leaders winners for April were CJ and Emma.  The theme for April was art.

January Learners are Leaders winners were announced yesterday.  Libby and Ian were the winners from our class. Great work!

December's Learners Are Leaders theme was Good Vibes and Demonstrates a Sparkle.  Our two winners were Brooks and Vivian.  These two are always giving off positive vibes and they are great kids for everyone to be around.  Thanks for sparkling!

October's Learners are Leaders winners were Kavi and Arabel.  Great job digging deeper girls!  

Because we had so many students willing to go home and extend their learning this month (and because I'm only allowed to pick two winners each month), I decided to also recognize a few other students who dug deeper in their learning.  Our October L.A.L Honorable Mentions are: Maya, Brooks, Brogan, and Ian.

The final Learners Are Leaders award went to students who finished strong.  I'm very proud of Delilah, Alex, and Robbie who all have worked very hard in May and June to finish up the year strong (...and we're not done yet!).

Learners Are Leaders

January's Learners Are Leaders theme was "Civic Minded Community Member."  We were looking for students who: 

• demonstrate concern for others, 
• demonstrate responsibility for school, community, and learning, and 
• demonstrate kindness toward the world.  

Our winners for this month were Jesse, Cameron, Maddie, Robbie, and Kylee.  Congratulations to all of you!

In February we'll be looking for students with "The Heart of a Successful Learner."  The criterial will be students who:

• demonstrate a passion for learning
• choose healthy options in order to grow as a person
• focus on learning goals and achievement
• are balanced, well-rounded individuals

Our December Learners are Leaders were awarded on Thursday.  This month's theme was "Good Vibes and Demonstrates Sparkle."  We were looking for students who are positive people to be around.  Our class winners were Ben, Robbie, Kylee, Chris, and Tristin.

Today we celebrated November's Learners Are Leaders for students who were patient, persistent problem-solvers.  In our class, those students were Kelsey, Liz, Ally, and Sadie.  Great job!

October Learners are Leaders

The theme for October's Learners are Leaders was Digging Deeper.  We had 5 students who really did a great job with that last month.  They are Liz, Eli, Alex, Joey, and Kylee.  I promised them one "dab" picture if they gave a good one first :)

The theme for November is Patient, Persistent, Problem-Solvers.  I'll be looking for students who don't give up when things get tricky.

Virtual Summer School Winners, Learners Are Leaders

We had a lot to celebrate this afternoon.  Grades 3-5 gathered for an assembly to announce the winners for Virtual Summer School prizes as well as celebrate our first Learners Are Leaders.  Our class was well represented in both of these areas...

The Learners are Leaders from our class for this month were Ally, Robbie, Zekiel, Jesse, Liam, and Kylee.  Congratulations to all of them!

Our students who won something for Virtual Summer School were Kelsey (extra recess for our class), Cameron (a DQ gift card), Liam (popcorn party for our class), and our big winner, Kylee who won a Chromebook laptop!

Our final Learners Are Leaders Awards were given out today.  I was unable to get pictures before dismissal, but the students earning the award were: Evan H., Aiden, Dominic, and Brayden.  Congratulations to all of them for earning the award for this month's theme, "Finish Strong!"
