Learners Are Leaders

A few years ago at OTES we began a program called Learners Are Leaders to recognize students that are going above and beyond in different areas.  Each month throughout the school year we have a theme, and teachers choose a couple of kids from their class who have shown to be exceptional in that area.  At the end of each month we have an assembly and celebrate all of the students who earned the award for that month.

September's Learners Are Leaders theme is "Ready to Learn" and we are looking for students who:

• come to school ready to learn
• interact positively with adults and classmates
• participate in discussions and other classroom activities
• are responsible for learning materials, and
• complete schoolwork neatly and appropriately to the best of their ability
