March 15th was Maine's 197th birthday, and since 4th grade spends so much time on Maine studies we just had to celebrate! All five 4th grade classes spent the morning rotating to all of the different classrooms to participate in a fun Maine activity. In Mrs. Ouellette's room the students did some Maine coloring...Mrs. Jackson helped the kids create Maine haikus...Mrs. DeFroscia had the students create their own Maine quarters...Mrs. Dexter provided a challenge to the students to create the tallest free-standing lighthouse using dry spaghetti and marshmallows...and in my room we played Maine Trivia Kahoot!
