What a difficult day it was today. It was so hard to say goodbye to such a fantastic group of kids. I always wish that we had more time on the final day to really say goodbye. There are some classes that are difficult to let go of, and this was certainly one of them. I know that each and every one of the kids are ready for 5th grade and the challenges that come with it. I want to thank all of the parents for the support throughout the school year. It’s not successful without a real connection between school and home, and I really felt like I had the support of the parents, so thank you! I always make sure my students know that my door is ALWAYS open to them once they leave my classroom. I really cherish the connections that we’ve made throughout the year and love it when former students stop by to say hello and make an effort to stay in touch.
Don’t forget that I’ll be in the OTES library on Tuesday and Thursday mornings beginning June 30th for Virtual Summer School, so feel free to stop by.
Thanks again, and I hope you all have a fantastic summer!
