We are beginning our science unit on the solar system. Today I wanted to get a sense of what we already know about the solar system. The students used their laptops to enter everything they thought was in our solar system. By using a website called wordsift.com, we were then able to see what our class thinks a solar system consists of. If a word is really large, that means more students typed it in. Take a look at our wordsift.
We'll spend our next science class discussing some misconceptions that we have about what is in our solar system. Write a comment to this post about what you notice from this wordsift. Are there things that are not found in our solar system and shouldn't be listed? Are there things that we're missing?
