1st Day Updates

Well, the first day has come and gone.  The kids were great and did a wonderful job as we begin to set up classroom routines.

Thanks for the Supplies
We want to sincerely thank the parents who sent in all of the supplies for the classroom.  We had so many boxes of tissues, Clorox wipes, and Ziplock baggies brought in by the kids.  These things are all used very frequently throughout the school year and we appreciate your support with helping us supply them.

Lots of Papers Going Home
As always, the first day of school brings with it lots of papers to look through and some that need to be sent back in.  We'll try to help you sort through them all right now...
1. Student Handbook - please read through this with your child.  This does NOT need to be sent back in.
2. September Lunch Menu - Please let your child know to pick up a second copy if there are multiple households that would like one.
3. Instrument Packet - This has lots of information for parents of kids who are thinking about playing an instrument this year.  If your child wants to play an instrument, please fill out the slip on the bottom of the last page and send it back in with your child.
4. Free & Reduced Lunch Packet - This needs to be filled out and returned to school as soon as possible.  Even if you do not wish to sign up for the free/reduced lunch program, please just fill out your child's name and sign the bottom of the last page.
5. Agreement to Publish Form - This needs to be filled out and returned to school as soon as possible.  This gives us permission to publish your child's first name, their picture, and examples of their work on our web site or in local media.
