Instrument Project Directions

Directions for the upcoming instrument projects, which are to be completed at home, have been sent home with students.  Below are the details...

Due Date: February 8th

Your Task:
Create an instrument that can change pitch.

• You may use any materials from home
• You will need to be able to change the pitch of the sound (consider what we learned in class about how length and tension affect pitch)
• You will need to be able to describe how your instrument makes sound (What is vibrating to cause the sound? How are you able to change the pitch?)
• You will be presenting your instrument to your class during the week of Feb. 8th.
• You will be graded on the following
• Your creativity
• How much effort you put into the project
• Your ability to describe how your instrument makes sound
• Your ability to design an instrument that can make sound with different pitches
