Congratulations Mr. Lucas!

As we all know, Monday will be Mr. Lucas's final day of teaching after dedicating 39 years to the children of Old Town. Last week the students surprised Mr. Lucas with a celebration, cards, and gifts. During Friday's assembly he was given an adirondack chair, which has become a tradition for OTES retirees. A parent also purchased a new State of Maine flag for OTES in Mr. Lucas's honor since teaching Maine studies has been such a huge part of his teaching career. Everyone at OTES will deeply miss Mr. Lucas next year but we are excited that he won't be too far away now that he will be working part time at the Old Town Public Library.  To Mr. Lucas, from everyone...thank you and congratulations!
