       Finally a new year has arrived!  I hope you’re looking foward to it.  This year in our new unit in science, we learned a fun new game called “The Drop Challenge.”  Would you like to learn how to play?  Alright, here’s how it goes.  First you will need a drop chamber.  Then you will need a piece of cardboard with slits to attach to the drop chamber.  Now you will need a bag filled with things such as: a metal washer, a piece of cardboard, a clothespin, a tinfoil ball, a clay ball, a plastic spoon, a popsicle stick, and a marker.  Once you have all of these supplies and a minimum of two people, you’re ready to go!

       Now that you’re all set up, we can start.  Decide who goes first.  Who ever is going first, have them drop an item into the drop chamber.  Now whoever isn’t going first, guess what that person just dropped in.  Continue by switching who drops the item in and who guesses.  Once you get the hang of it, this game gets very fun!
