Art Project (Written by Izzy & Maddie)

A couple of Mr. Rand's students have been brainstorming some writing ideas for our class blog.  They would like to write some fairly regular blog posts about things happening in our class and school.  For this post, they brought an iPod Touch to Art Class to take pictures of a project they're working on, then worked together using Google Docs to type the post.  These students will be joined by other students from Mr. Rand & Mr. Lucas' rooms for future posts.

    Have you ever seen art made with cement?  Well now you can see it and read about it.  On Thursday Oct. 24 we made slabs from cement as a decoration for the school garden.  We worked very hard to unpack the slabs and carry them to the patio.  It took lots of strength, but we managed to put the slabs over the pieces of newspaper scattered across the ground.

    If you work together you can make something as beautiful as the 4th graders and 5th graders at the Old Town Elementary School!  We have found that you can use the weirdest things and turn it into art.  Every day we find new likings in art.  People think it’s fun, others think it’s interesting.  Like it or not, art is art and there is nothing you can change about that!
